The iPad original perhaps not the first ever tablet computer, but it is certainly the first who took the world by storm. The 2nd generation iPad is out in the United States on March 11, 2011 and quickly became a huge success. Is the iPad 2 really any good, or you're paying more for the Apple name and branding? iOS
The iPad runs the same operating system as the iPhone and iPod Touch. This is called iOS and as with all new versions, the iPad 2 provides an update of the operating system version. It iOS 4.3, which is not really that the different to the original version on the iPad 1. This version includes an updated browser and the ability to use the switch volume than a rotation lock switch.
The iPad was designated as a large iPhone, and since it uses the same operating system it will really lead like that.
Improve the quality
The iPad 2 is built to a very high quality, as can be if expect any Apple product. The iPad is just a little smaller than the original iPad. The iPad 2 is incredibly similar to the appearance that Apple seems to think that it has patented with the iPad 1. In other words, it is very similar to most other tablets on the market, and most of the other manufacturers is harassed by Apple (such as the tab of the Galaxy).
The iPad 2 is one of the lightest on the market and thin tablets. It is also very fast and easy to use, however not everything is so great about it.
Sound
The speaker iPad 2 has been moved to the rear of the aircraft. This produces slightly better than the original iPad sounds, however if you plan to watch many videos or listen to music on the Tablet, then you really should use a pair of headphones for sound much better. If you plan iPod sound quality without helmet, you will be disappointed.
Display
The screen is reasonable, but not excellent. It uses the same 9.7 inch screen as in the iPad and is a bit of a disappointment. This makes it impossible to enjoy looking at photos and videos on screen well.
Battery life
The life of the battery on the iPad 2 is much better than the original version of the iPad. It is quite impressive given that the new version is much thinner than the original. Apple says that the battery will last more than 10 hours between charges which is much better than many other competing tablets.
Cameras
The iPad does not include cameras, and one of the biggest improvements with the iPad 2 is that it includes 2 cameras. There is a megapixel on the back, and on the front webcam enough base. These cameras are quite terrible, while they are not useless; they are not a reason to buy the tablet. Compared to other tablets like the Xoom, tablets appear to be second rate.
Apps
One of the biggest advantages of using a device powered by iOS is the large number of applications available on the market. There are more than a million apps that can be run on the iPad 2 which is much more Android, WebOS and Blackberry tablet.
Verdict
The iPad 2 is the main available tablet computer today, but if it is good for you is another story. You pay much for the name and design. However, the camera and the screen are absent, and they are much better on other tablets.
