Toshiba flourish Review. With so many different tablets currently flooding the market it can be difficult to know which one is right for you. The Toshiba prosper first Toshiba Tablet offers and it is quite late to enter the market. But the Tablet is actually any good? He has received a lot of hype and many people were really get excited about its release date. But the question stands, is just talk or is it really worth it?
Design. The prosper is a Tablet very nicely designed that looks very elegant and high quality (feel strong too). There are also three lights of status for the battery, Wi - Fi and power on the edge of the tablet. A very cool feature is that the back of the Tablet is coated with rubber and this makes it much easier to enter the tablet. This also means that it is quite comfortable to hold.
The back cover rubber coated even can be deleted and replaced. Available colors include pink, green, lilac, blue, or silver.
Battery. Unlike many tablets (including the iPad and iPad2), the battery on the prosper is removable (big more on the iPad). This means that demanding users can actually one around for an extra battery if they need to. On average, we have seen the batteries last for about 7 hours of normal use, which is in line with most other tablet computers.
Scalability. The prosper is available in 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB versions, but it can also be expanded with SD cards. Lots of tablets featured cards SD these days to extend the storage space. However, prosper is one of the first that actually supports the use of the SDXC cards. This means that you can put a 128 GB SDXC card inside if you really need a good storage.
The other advantage of a SD card slot, you can view the photos from your digital camera, without the need to use a dongle or disturb the connecting to the USB.
Camera. The cameras on this shelf are quite good. The rear camera is 5 mega pixels, and this makes it possible to take great photographs. We have found it works best in brightly lit conditions, but will struggle in low light levels. There is also a front in the 2 Mega Pixel camera for video conversations.
Ports. Another area which is the stand to prosper is the number of ports on the edges of the tablet. On the right side of the Tablet, there is a small flap that can be relieved with your nail. It reveals mini USB, USB and HDMI ports.
What is so great about it is that they are full size USB and HDMI ports. In other words, there is no need to worry about carrying around cards or special use leads. Instead, you can use any standard USB lead and connect directly to your camera.
As it runs Android 3.1 honeycomb, it supports USB host. This means that you can connect USB hard drives, webcams, or anything else that is supported. You can even use a USB mouse or keyboard if you want. We loved this...
There is also a helmet of 3.5 mm at bottom and a port of power on the left side of the tablet.
Verdict. With the tablets so already available on the market, it is increasingly difficult for manufacturers to differentiate their shelves. The way that Toshiba has made is by building a tablet of solid, high quality useful ports.
The best thing about this tablet is that it has full size HDMI and USB ports. This allows to connect to a variety of devices without any adapters. The addition of an SDXC slot is ideal to expand the storage space and even watch photos from your camera. It is perhaps not for everyone, but if the extensibility and connectivity are high on your list in the choice of a tablet, then the prosper is perfect for you.
